Instructor for Theatre History 1: Origins to Renaissance and Theatre History 2: Renaissance to Contemporary

This was a multi-faceted role with three primary responsibilities: box office customer service and ticket sales, procuring season subscription revenue, and procuring advertising revenue. The customer service aspect involved selling single tickets and fielding general questions regarding our production content, seating, pricing, and other policies. I was also responsible for procuring season subscription revenue by supervising our telemarketing campaign which ran from August through May. In this respect, I generated lead lists, set weekly revenue goals and incentives, recruited and hired telemarketing team members, and provided regular feedback on customer service and sales strategies.Finally, I coordinated outreach campaigns to area businesses with the goal of procuring advertising revenue.Although our telemarketing campaign was disrupted in April as a result of COVID-19, my team secured 97% of revenue goal well before our deadline. I was also able to procure $4,500 in new advertising revenue by working with area businesses.

I served in a customer service role both over the phone, via email, and in-person at our office and at Lyric Theatre productions. My primary functions and responsibilities included:*Assisting patrons with single ticket purchases to both our summer shows at the Oklahoma City Civic Center as well as shows at our more intimate Plaza Theatre*Renewing current patron subscriptions for our 2020 season and accept payment for subscriptions*Informing interested patrons of the process of becoming a new subscriber and assisting them in identifying the best subscription package and seating options*Assisting season subscribers with ticket exchanges or modifications to their existing subscription

I have taught diverse student populations in Theatre Appreciation, Acting 1, and Acting 2. I strive to create a dynamic curriculum that fully immerses students in theatre in a hands-on way.

I was responsible for overseeing all front of house operations for the TTU School of Theatre and Dance. In this capacity I scheduled student ushers to work performances, ensured effective communication between front of house and stage management, saw to the safety and comfort of all patrons, and trained students on customer service and emergency procedures

I taught one section of Introduction to Acting, a non-majors course and was also the instructor of record for House Management and Advanced House Management, practicum courses required of all undergraduate theatre majors.

I was promoted to this position after being hired as a student enforcement officer.In the supervisory role, my primary responsibility was supervising a team of student officers. I also accounted for all cash in the paid parking booth, ensuring sufficient staffing at each shift, and assisted with traffic and parking management during large campus events (i.e. commencements and homecoming). I provided customer service in the office as needed, accepting payment for parking violations, issuing parking permits, and providing general parking and campus information.Because I enjoyed the front-facing responsibilities of my job, I was asked to represent the department each summer at the university's New Student Orientation and New Adjunct Faculty Orientation sessions.
