Transferred from Steria to HP under TUPE regulations and joined the FCO Firecrest contract as part of the Client Services team. Providing remote support to approximately 18,000 users at 270 locations world-wide on a Microsoft Server 2003/2008 and Windows Vista platform. Elected by colleagues as one of the employee representatives for the TUPE process when the contract was transferred to Computacenter.In April 2014 I started working for the Unified Infrastructure Team supporting network and server infrastructure and messaging systems. I am an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for security related issues and also all three core skill areas: Networking; Wintel; and Messaging for the team. I am one of only two agents with skills and experience in all three of those areas of operation. The team is responsible for all BAU incidents and service requests relating to the estate infrastructure and we and resolve approximately 90% of calls before they are referred to the specialist teams.

Whilst at Steria, I was mostly been assigned to Ministry of Defence projects with short-term assignments to the Ministry of Justice OMNI project. These have drawn on my broad technical expertise on the Microsoft Server and Workstation platforms. Registered with the MoD as official crypto borrower to handle the key material for encryption.As part of Defence Information Infrastructure/Convergence (DII/C), Steria deployed Windows workstations and other equipment in MoD organisations in Great Britain and Germany. The Estate Service Management Centre (ESMC) provided support for the users and deployed servers, workstations, peripherals and infrastructure.In the Biometric Identity and Verification (BIV) project, Steria rolled out laptops, servers and peripherals to the MoD running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, and proprietary software developed in house.For Domis, Steria provided and supported IT services and infrastructure to the DIO (Defence Infrastructure Organisation, formerly Defence Estates) Ops Housing department.
