Hi I'm Kevan, Co - Founder of TechForGood UK, the UK's only purpose driven social benefit technology supplier. TechForGood is a a certified B Corporation and SEUK certified Social Enterprise and we were founded on the belief that technology could be used as a force for good, far more so than it is currently, especially for organisations that are socially or environmentally conscious and want to do more but don’t know how to. Being a B Corp & Social Enterprise we are a business that operates for purpose before profit, and that purpose is to use the procurement of technology and the profits generated therein, to support a range of amazing charities that are addressing the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). We have committed to giving 50% of our net profit to these causes and as we grow, we will also be introducing a IT support & solutions platform for the benefit of other Social Enterprises and Charities, and we have called this initiative ‘Seventeen Ways’.When customers buy technology via our website at www.techforgooduk.org they will be given a choice at checkout stage of which of the 17 SDG’s they would like to support. TechForGood will then donate 50% of the profit from that purchase to a charity we have selected that aligns with the relevant SDG. We believe businesses in both the non profit and profit sectors will recognise the power this form of social procurement can have. We also believe that in a time when the cost of living crisis is having a big impact on peoples lives and businesses alike, coupled with the growing emphasis in Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG, our model is well placed to give socially and environmentally conscious individuals and organisations a solution to address some of the big challenges we face, and one that will cost them no more than they are already paying for technology.
