Conduct routine tasks such as backup, recovery, and migration while ensuring high levels of data availability.• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, query optimization, and performance monitoring tools, ensuring efficient data access and manipulation.• Security Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data against unauthorized access, data breaches, and loss. This includes managing user access permissions and roles, as well as auditing data access and usage.• Data Recovery and Backup: Develop and test backup and recovery plans, ensuring that data can be quickly restored in the event of a hardware or software failure.• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data needs and implement database solutions that support organizational objectives.• Research and Development: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data engineering and analytics technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to our processes and systems.
