Beginning in construction, an injury caused me to refocus my career options. Having always been fascinated with accounting, business management, and operations, I returned to school where I acquired the vital knowledge to help a company reach important goals.In 2010, I was privileged to join Paradise Canyon Country Club/Paradise Canyon Golf Resort Company for the next seven years where I delivered the following contributions:* COST SAVINGS: I dramatically slashed yearly auditing fees from $12,000 to just $2,500 by reducing year-end covenant requirements from an Audit to a simple Notice-to-Reader.* IMPROVEMENTS & INNOVATIONS: I teamed up with 3 department managers and 1 coordinator to brainstorm and roll out Paradise's first-ever strategic development plan. As a result, we introduced much-needed structure - complete with organizational charting, future goal-setting, asset protection, and contingency planning - in the event of unforeseen circumstances.* ACTION PLANNING: I leveraged my earlier construction background so that a $0.5MM restaurant renovation was completed on time and on budget in 2013.I thoroughly understand leadership's role in eliciting peak performance from team members. For an individual to excel, that desire must be instilled at an early age; that is why I have enjoyed mentoring teens and young adults in hockey.
