Leads a team that schedules 215 bus routes daily comprised of over 1,100 bus runs. Salem-Keizer is responsible for providing close to 20,000 rides daily for their students. Their buses drive a total exceeding 3 million miles a year. His routing team processes upwards of 1,500 regular education and 4,300 special education requests for transportation each year.Kevin was instrumental in the creation of an electronic student ride request process that reduced delays of up to 45 days down to requests being processed the same day. He also works with other Transportation Staff members to utilize data in their current routing software for the maximum return on the information available.His school district relies on data that Kevin and his team develops during emergency situations that require student demographics for boundaries that are created for emergency events. Using custom spreadsheets built by Kevin student data is drawn from the districts routing software, analyzed, sorted, & distributed to the people and programs that require the information during the events.
