My primary role initially was to achieve the re-commissioning of theplant during the start up after Atmel had taken over the plant from Siemens. This was a majorproject with very tight deadlines and this was achieved successfully.Our role then was to ensure maximum uptime of all plant to the cleanroom. This included allProcess cooling water supplies, Ultra Pure Water supplies, Gas’s and Chemical Supplies andClean Room conditions in specification. The equipment involved was predominantlymechanical supported by Instrument and Control SystemsOnce this was complete our role was to develop and continuously improve maintenanceprocedures, standards, specifications and quality procedures for all sections listed above toprovide maximum uptime and plant optimisation.
