I am a senior Mechanical Engineering student at Northwestern University pursuing a concentration in Robotics and a minor in Entrepreneurship with a keen interest in additive and subtractive manufacturing, CNC controls, data acquisition, mechatronics, PCB design, and robotic locomotion. I have completed several rigorous courses in the design process, MATLAB programming, statics, system dynamics, computer programming in C and C++, electronics design, and material properties, and have demonstrated my academic excellence and curiosity in class discussions and study groups.Outside the classroom, I am involved in three exciting and challenging work experiences that allow me to apply my skills and knowledge in mechatronics, robotics, controls, and manufacturing. As a Robotics Research Assistant at NU Center for Robotics and Biosystems, I assist in the development of a robotic haptic interface system, designing and implementing a system to increase the grip of a Shadow Robot hand, presenting research findings in weekly meetings, and collaborating with researchers at Florida A&M University. As a Data Acquisition Lead Engineer at NU Baja SAE Team, I construct improvements to the tuning system for the constant variable transmission (CVT) of the car, design printed circuit boards for the CVT tuner, and iterate on the conversion of the CVT into an electronically controlled one for the 2024 model. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at FlashCut CNC, I calibrate plasma torch height control (THC) circuits, test and inspect servo motors, assemble new machine control units, and beta test CAD/CAM software. As a Mechatronics Engineering Intern at Perseus Materials for the summer of 2024, I designed an extrusion pull mechanism, part scan system, and shop layout. Through these roles, I have gained valuable hands-on experience, technical expertise, and teamwork skills in the fields of robotics and manufacturing. I am also the treasurer and the goalkeeper of the water polo team, where I have learned how to adapt to and lead in rapidly changing conditions.
