We inspect, audit, and design remediation strategies for hazardous materials and unsafe work environments. We test for asbestos, lead paint, PCBs, Chemicals, refrigerants, mercury or substances that would impact indoor air quality. Environmental evaluations of sites include Phase I, II and III studies, remediation clean-up plans, and cost estimates, LEP and PE services for contaminated sites, as well as plans associated with specialized site evaluations, and permit preparation for air, groundwater and wastewater requirements.Within EnviroMed I have gained experience in the Project Monitor role. I have conducted pre-abatement baseline air monitoring sampling, lead personal pumps and wipes monitoring, soil sampling and abatement monitoring, and PCM (phase contrast microscopy) air sampling and microscope slide preparation. I have also prepared sections of Phase I, II, & III studies and conducted research using the New Haven Department of Heath, Clerk's office, and Fire Department.

Quinnipiac University was looking to add a new WeatherHawk 232 weather station system to their York Hill campus residence halls. The device collects solar radiation, air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure and rain and snow amounts. Through this job I gained experience working independently with environmental monitoring equipment. The WeatherHawk needed to be taken apart and modified with an external rain gauge which proved to be a real challenge. I also had to program and troubleshoot the WeatherHawk weather station with the WeatherHawk software to make sure each of the data collection instruments were working properly. With help from professor Kimberly DiGiovanni-White, I mounted the WeatherHawk system on top of East View residential hall on the York Hill campus just in time to collect data for the 2017 solar eclipse.

Between my junior and senior years at Quinnipiac University I enjoyed a summer internship with Tectonic Engineering & Surveying Consultants in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. This internship helped my hone my skills in AutoCAD and in the analysis of technical documents and plans. My main role as an intern was to assist in AutoCAD change orders for highways and highway support pillars. On another project I worked with some of the plans for a concourse at Grand Central Station in New York. I also worked to expand upon the company's library of construction equipment AutoCAD blocks, designing and outlining cranes, booms, excavators, and trucks. In addition to AutoCAD work I conducted weight takeoffs for engineering equipment and structures as well as geometric properties for steel beams.
