President
CurrentExecutive Management, Operations and Engineering - Mr. Bourque held a key operational role at Alta Mesa Resources, Inc. and was increasingly relied upon to assess and communicate results to management and the board as the company approached and filed bankruptcy. Having joined the company in 2007 he was promoted to Vice President Operations in 2014, and was part of the IPO road show team in 2017. Mr. Bourque understands the importance of being able to measure both operational and fiscal performance of a project. In 2019 after successfully implementing significant optimizations and efficiency-drivers at Alta Mesa, the team under Mr. Bourque’s guidance delivered the full year’s drilling and completion program, coming in on time and on budget. Mr. Bourque has been active in upstream energy operations since 2007 after transitioning as the owner who built and successfully monetized a technology-based industrial process automation and controls company. Having managed numerous fields in South Texas, East Texas, South Louisiana, and most recently Oklahoma, Mr. Bourque led many aspects of the development and production side of the energy business over the past 13 years. During his last 18 months at Alta Mesa, Mr. Bourque continued to meet or exceed operational guidance, while recognizing reservoir responses to infill drilling – and leading implementation of critically needed process and operational streamlining. Mr. Bourque built and scaled the Alta Mesa team from a non-operated position with no employees on the ground to a staff of over 70 with a budget exceeding $900 million that ran 9 drilling rigs, delivered more than 450 new horizontal wells in 5 years, a saltwater gathering system handling up to 175,000bbls/day, and producing over 60,000BOE/D. This growth was efficiently managed by building business intelligence platforms to monitor, in real-time, expenses on both OPEX and CAPEX and to be easily distributed to partners and management.
