Kevin Brennan is a 20+ year leader, senior investor, and executive at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest institutional hedge fund. During his time at Bridgewater, Kevin has played multiple leadership roles throughout the firm with a focus on managing, designing, and enhancing the investment process, including serving as department head at different times for Account Management, the Investment Engine, and Technology. He participated on the firm’s Investment and Operating committees, and was the first elected Operating Chair of the firm’s partnership, during which time he led the development and adoption of the first charter of governance. As an investor, Kevin has led research and investment oversight across portfolio construction and risk management, trade execution, systematic investment decision modeling, and most recently geopolitics and commodities. In recent years, he has regularly authored the firm’s Daily Observations. Prior to joining Bridgewater, Kevin worked as an actuary at Equitable, earning a Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries, and then as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Kevin received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Binghamton University. Kevin currently serves on the Investment Advisory Board at the Leadership Now Project, as well as on the board of the Center for Political Accountability. Kevin is also a Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
