Rewrote a large job scheduler using Java 11, Quartz API, Spring Rest, Spring Security, and Spring Boot. The application runs in embedded Tomcat using HSQL DB to store job and trigger information. It includes an Angular front end with Bootstrap CSS to edit and view the jobs and triggers. These critical jobs process large dollar value trades daily and use transactions to roll back on failure. The system utilizes Web services and an MS SQL database to process trade information. The application is configured to use management endpoints and JMX.Lead Engineer for an internal intranet application that interfaces with a mainframe. It supports three hundred concurrent users during peak business hours. The application runs legacy Java 8 code, JQuery, Struts MVC, and EJB 1.0 technologies. It includes JAX-RS Restful web services for API integration and uses IBM MQ Web services for monetary transactions. This critical application is used by CSR staff to assist customers with fund account information. Set up ELK logging and APM integration and began modernizing configuration and deployment using SaltStack. Migrated legacy code from WebLogic to TomEE, reverse engineered the WebLogic login API, and retrofitted it to the TomEE API. No high-severity tickets were reported on rollout day due to comprehensive testing efforts.Lead Site Reliability Engineer for FranklinTempleton.com, a large distributed system using legacy Java 8 and new Angular code on the front end. The application consists of four Apache servers with six instances each, twenty-eight WebLogic instances on seven Red Hat servers (utilizing LDAP, Ping, and an Oracle database). The website supports fifty thousand active profiles, including shareholders and financial advisors, with several thousand active users during business hours. Responsible for hardware and software refresh projects and troubleshooting production issues.
