During my career I have undertaken many roles which I believe give me truly broad spectrum of experience in many business sectors. It is this unique ability to adapt and reinvent myself which I feel makes me the leader I am today.Having first joined Britannia Royal Naval College at the age of 19 to undertake Royal Navy officer training and learning to fly helicopters I have since relied on the foundation they instilled to further my career outside which has been wide and varied to say the least.Most recently, I became a fully qualified Transport Manager in both Road Haulage and PSV operations following a short period as a DVSA Traffic Examiner. This unique combination of experience allows me to understand both the business demands but more importantly an understanding of what is required in order to satisfy the businesses legal obligations to the finest detail. Since converting to the "other side" I have specialised in directing companies to be compliance driven and assisting them with ensuring their record keeping systems and reporting mechanisms are robust and will withstand close inspection by the DVSA.I have also had the experience of running my own business in the hospitality sector which I ran with my wife giving me another insight as to what is required to be successful.I have never shied from a challenge and faced each with a positive outlook which I feel is essential in todays business environment.I am a true believer in developing those who work both alongside or under me in order that I can move forward. Sometimes this has helped me progress and others it has caused me to be pushed out but at all times I have held fast in my own belief that helping others helps me.
