My passion is empowering, inspiring and supporting others using a strength-based, people-orientated approach. For nearly 10 years I have worked in the social services sector supporting children, youth and families. I have extensive knowledge and experience in child and youth development, family services, socio-emotional well being, multifaceted programming, participant engagement and empowerment. I'm continually seeking information about theories, principles, and best practices related to children and youth.I can confidently:• develop, implement, manage and evaluate programs• empower, engage and educate participants• write grants, secure funding and complete reports• recruit and train staff; supervise a team of 20+• collaborate and build community partnershipsMy work with children, youth and families has lead me to a project which is a first of it's kind in British Columbia. I created the website childandyouthwork.com which is a resource dedicated to help, inspire and support others who have an invested interest working with children and youth within the province of Bristish Columbia. The website provides information which is current, relevant and useful for anyone interested in working with children and youth, and for those already immersed in the sector.Contact: coleskevinl@gmail.com
