The New Jersey Interfaith Advisory Council is a network designed to facilitate sharing and dissemination of information to faith-based organizations and pertinent members of their communities around New Jersey. The IAC is chaired by NJOHSP Director Jared Maples.

The Chief of Police is responsible for the day to day operations of the entire police department. This encompasses the whole of the police function including police operations, training, scheduling, discipline, budget preparation and review, equipment acquisition, policy development, staffing and other functions.The department is responsible for the safety and security of the Township's 44 square miles and approximately 22,000 residents.

Serves as a Subject Matter Expert/Peer Reviewer for grants offered by The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OJP) including The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), National Institute of Justice (NIJ), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), and other Federally funded programs.

Responsibilities of the SSS include supervising and providing oversight for all school safety and security personnel; ensuring safety and security policies and procedures comply with state laws and regulations; and providing the necessary training and resources to school district staff in matters relating to school safety and security. The SSS will also serve as the district’s liaison with local law enforcement, as well as national, state and community agencies and organizations, in matters of school safety and security.

Performs supervisory and administrative tasks in developing, implementing, and managing programs designed to effectively address security and school safety needs. Responsible for coordinating a comprehensive, all hazards school safety program, which includes working with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services, monitoring and coordinating the school resource officer program, and supervising district security staff. Works extensively with school administrators, staff, students and community on all areas of school safety. Work also involves implementing training programs pertaining to matters of safety and security for school staff and helps to develop and implement programs designed to promote a positive school climate. Represents the school district and communicates with the media on school safety matters.
