This voluntary role was a start up for the Charity in HR terms therefore my focus was on developing contracts of employment, a Staff and Volunteer Handbook, the development of policy including Safeguarding, GDPR and Health & Safety and providing advice and guidance on their recruitment strategies. A great role for me at the time.

The role led on matters relating to governance; legislative compliance; company policies and procedures; support to Trustees and matters relating to the management and wellbeing of staff.

• As the Operations Director/Head of Administration and with my previous experience as a British Army Officer, I managed and advised on all HR initiatives, including employment/consultant contracts, finance, salaries.
