Educator to educator. My vision is to be able to train and support Texas teachers, administrators, schools, and communities with the implementation of restorative practices. Due to the recent recognition that Texas schools are searching for an alternative approach to traditional exlusionary practices, many service centers and other organizations will offer a variety of “book or boxed” approaches for implementing restorative practices on campuses. Keep in mind that many of these organizations have not practiced or applied this model on a real campus. I believe that restorative practices are contextual and require hands-on training, frequent on-campus support and consultation with a focus on the school application process.
