Simulated polymer molecules on supercomputers using both dynamical (Newton’s 2nd Law) and Monte Carlo approaches. Deposited aligned DNA molecules on surfaces and studied the behavior of nematic liquid crystal films on top of these DNA surfaces. The goal was to develop a less expensive DNA microarray. Won awards in two poster competitions.
