  I have now been with Surrey Fire and Rescue Service for 25 years. Last August (2015) I was successful in gaining a new position within the Fire Investigation Team, I have completed the Gardiners Fire Investigation course and Expert Witness training.Since then I have attended many incidents (initially shadowing other officers), I am now a Level 1 investigator.My role also includes arranging and carrying out Vulnerable Adult visits, we as as team work very closely with Adult Social Care (Surrey County Council), and working as an Instructor on the YES scheme courses(Youth Engagement Scheme). These courses are a week at a time (6 a year), up to 12 Youths per course), they carry out several activities through the week, eg, RTC, BA, Ladders and at the end of each week attend a pass out parade for which their family and friends are invited to watch. They learn about Discipline, bahaviour and team work, some of the things they struggle with at school.I am no longer serving at Cranleigh fire station.
