About Kevin Danner
I started my carbon dioxide removal journey in 2015 during COP 21 after hearing the French Agricultural Minister discuss soil biochar as a potentially powerful mechanism for removing and sequestering atmospheric carbon. From 2016 to 2019 I researched and tested biochar, and in 2020 incorporated Carbon Lock Tech as a cleantech start-up focused on developing an innovative biochar reactor system. Several prototypes and pilot projects later, a Canadian patent was awarded (US and European patents pending). Carbon Lock Tech is currently focused on advancing its biocarbon applications research and technology development activities. The company will then look to partner and scale its pyrolytic carbonization systems across Canada and throughout the world.
