Planning and coordination of the Detector Systems Branch facility and product needs specifically relating to the Detector Development Laboratory, the Detector Characterization Laboratory, the MEMS Lab, and other semiconductor processing and electronics laboratories. Develops science and engineering requirements for various types of sensors that cover the entire electromagnetic spectrum and particle detectors. Directs the design, manufacturing, test, and evaluation of these detectors for various research and flight programs.

My work at NASA is focused on development of ground and space based detectors enabling astrophysics, planetary science and heliophysics applications. This includes superconducting planar microwave devices for detection of cosmic microwave background polarization in the Cosmology Large Angular Scale Surveyor Telescope. - Development of cryogenic far infrared detectors based on superconducting transition edge sensors and kinetic inductance detectors- X-Ray detectors based on metallic magnetic calorimeters and magnetic penetration depth thermometers - Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) including Microshutter Arrays for the James Webb Space Telescope.

At E-Ink Corporation I developed low temperature amorphous silicon based thin film transistor fabrication processes for flexible paper-like electrophoretic displays and was a key contributor to the design and development of the first amorphous silicon based active matrix electrophoretic displays that are currently used in e-book readers such as Kindle.
