Responsible of the management of a CPA firm.Engagement description: IFRS Conversion – IFRS Project ManagerThe Group Dynamite Inc. is a clothing company in Montréal that operates over 300 stores across Canada and the US.During my contract, I am In charge of the implementation of the IFRS within the Group Dynamite Inc. which consisted in:- Completing a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) analysis study between ASPE and IFRS;- Identifying the impact of the IFRS Conversion on the financial statements of the Group Dynamite Inc.;- Designing an IFRS conversion risk matrix;- Designing a roadmap for the complex accounting issues such as IFRS 16 Leases;- Writing memos and procedures on complex accounting issues;- Providing necessary training, coaching and mentoring to employees;- Being involved in the implementation of the IFRS 16 module in the leasing software (Tango, Lucernex);- Reporting to the VP Finance and Corporate Controller the findings.
