I have been leading CFY (Clearwater for Youth) as Executive Director since and served on the Board of Trustees for 14 years. Most of his duties involve developing and implementing strategy planning and partnership development which includes an expanded footprint to serve all youth, in particular underserved youth, in Pinellas County. Kevin has a 39 year career in public service with his last 20.5 years as Director of Parks and Recreation with the City of Clearwater. Expanded youth athletic facilities, project lead of Bay Care Ballpark and Beachwalk were several of his more significant strategic project leads. Kevin has a Master Degree in Public Adminstration from Kean University, and a Bachelor of Science in Park and Recreation Administration. Prior to coming to Clearwater in 1999, Kevin was the Parks and Recreation Director in Temple Terrace and South Plainfield, NJ. He started his career as Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation in Westfield, NJ.Under Kevin’s leadership, CFY is focused on its 3 Pillars of Programming. Youth Athletic Grants, Education and Title One Water Saftey and in 2021 granted $400,000 in funding. In 2022 grants of $550,000 and in 2023 projected giving on $850,000.In his spare time, Kevin enjoys his 4 grandchildren and 3 children and their spouses. He lives in Clearwater with his wife Cathy and their 3 dogs, Cody, Nola and Philly.
