I first studied astro physics at the University of Montreal to reorient my career in oceanography and climate change at the Institut des sciences de la Mer at Rimouski. In my master's degree, I mainly work on fluid dynamics using Large Eddy Simulation. I love climatology and small scale weather paterns.Since 2019, I am now working for the Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) in hydroacoustics. We mainly use Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) to detect, understand and protect marine mammals. We use and train Deep Neural Network (DNN) to have a more up-to-date AI detector for different mammals. Moreover, my main project is to develop an hydrophone network, compose of 20 hydrophones, that extend over 20 meters in diameter on the bottom of the ocean. Using beamforming algorithm with these networks, it creates an acoustic radar. With two of those networks, we can use triangulation to geolocalise an acoustic source over hundred kilometers. I am particularly interested in numerical simulations, programming and data analysis. I have been using lots of different numerical languages in my career (C++, Fortran, Bash, Python, Matlab, R, Object-Oriented coding) which help me to be very versatile when reading or writing in a new language.
