My journey as an educator has not been linear or traditional. I have had to opportunity to work as a teacher in many capacities. I spent many years as a wrestling coach after graduation and then entered the working world. As a corporate trainer, I spent many years teaching employees the foundations of our business, including processes and procedures as well as expectations. After deciding to enter the teaching profession I received my B.A. in History from California State University San Marco, graduating Cum Laude. I returned to CSUSM to earn my teaching credential. After earning my credential I spent a year as a substitute teacher and was given my first full-time job working at a small private school. After seven years there I transitioned to a public continuation high school where I am still working today.
