Opened and operated The Better Beer Store as a DBA of Eckles Beer Ventures Inc. I was responsible for all aspects of the business including marketing, accounting, procurement, regulatory filings, as well as supplier and customer interactions. I also operated and maintained equipment related to cold storage and draft systems. I made certain that all aspects of the business were compliant with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the rules and regulations of Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control.

As a Research Scientist in the Nonclinical Safety group at Bausch and Lomb I developed and executed biocompatibility strategies for new product launches and supported MOB and geoexpansion of existing product lines. In this role I directly supported the launch of 4 new contact lens families as the sole toxicologist on the product team, with one additional lens family still awaiting approval. For each of these submissions the biocompatibility portion was accepted by the FDA without any queries. I also supported the launch and geoexpansion of 2 intraocular lenses, and a wide variety of other devices for ophthalmic surgery.

As the technician for the McCabe Laboratory in the Department of Environmental Medicine at the University of Rochester I conducted research into the effects of sublethal doses of lead and mercury on the immune system. I was also responsible for training graduate students on laboratory techniques, as well as maintaining laboratory equipment and safety records.

As Production Supervisor for the CEL-SCI corporation I was responsible for overseeing the manufacture of Multikine. I was responsible for training and managing the personnel of the production group.
