Oracle Retail Specialist / Business Analyst involved in the large scale implementation of the Oracle Retail Suite v14 as part of a Business Transformation Project. Oracle RMS / RPM SME, liaising with Solutions Architecture and Legacy Support teams, as well as third-party system implementers. I helped to define a rollout strategy for Oracle Retail functionality, as well as the identification and high-level design of interfaces between Oracle Retail suite / Fusion Financials and legacy systems. Also involved in specifying system option values, and defining configuration / foundation data for the ORMS / ORPM implementation.

ORMS Support Analyst, supporting the integration of Red Prairie Dispatcher Warehouse Management System with Oracle Retail v9.Involved in the design and development of automated system checks (PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripts), to verify the implementation of the new warehouse management system.I also investigated post go-live issues, and prepared bug-fixes / data correction scripts.Design and Development of Pro*C and PL/SQL interfaces between Oracle RMS and other third- party systems (CRM etc.)

Senior Software Engineer / Team Leader involved in a number of retail based projects / roles utilising Oracle Retail (formerly Retek) applications:• Team leading an off-shore development team, customising ORMS v.12.0.2 for a Dutch retailer. Produced and maintained technical designs, managed day-to-day issues of off-shore team, provide feedback, knowledge and advice to off-shore team, define and co-ordinate code fixes, ensured all documentation and code written to project standards, point of contact for issues raised by client test team (9 months) • Development project for Australian grocery retailer, integrating ORMS v.10 with ORPM v.11. Also exposure to Active Retail Intelligence (ARI). Responsible for: all ProC related development; the design, build and testing of Oracle Pro*C, PL/SQL and Forms modules; preparation of system test scripts; the investigation and resolution of defects. (12 months)• Application Management role, supporting production systems for a leading UK fashion retailer, supporting ORMS 8.0 and ORDM 7.0. Involved in bug fixing, performance tuning, and some bespoke development. Analyst-programmer involved in the design and development of a billing system for a UK water company. Oracle 7.3.4, and Pro*C on IBM Risc6000, and Forms 4.0 / 4.5.• Assessing customer requirements and specified application software changes• Prepared functional and technical specifications for new software• Developed code and unit test plans for new functionality, including a major new core component which interacted directly with the billing engine• Provided code / data fixes to defects raised in system testing / production• Led a group of 12 Oracle Forms / Pro*C / Pro*Cobol developers, assigning defects to appropriate personnel to ensure that fixes were supplied within required time frames• Co-ordinated the release of bug fixes to testing environments
