Conduct the Hirepool National Audit programme, not only focusing on Health Safety and Environment but all aspects of operating and managing a Hire retail branch. The role includes: Develop Business audit strategy to maintain minimum compliance, leading to best practice. Assisting functional leadership to better understand our existing systems and processes. Inform appropriately, and improve associated consequences of non-compliance. Direct coaching at an operational level. Development of improvement action plans to address identified issues.

• Ensure all necessary reporting processes are in place and, Managers and Team Leaders are aware of their responsibilities and the Businesses requirements and their respective work areas.• Investigating analysing relevant Serious Harm and Lost Time Injuries work on strategies to prevent further business impacts.• Reviewing all relevant data and discussing possible solutions to any issues arising with managers and employee groups (Internal / external) within the business.• Motivate leaders, managers to set and achieve agreed to action plans.• Continuous education of management team leaders to achieve their business and compliance goals.•Reporting identified trends to the relevant leaders/managers and the H&S Team Leader.• Developing & implementing appropriate controls in conjunction with the relevant leaders/managers.• Responsibility for ensuring availability of alternate job tasks in each operational area.• Ensuring Workplace Safety Management Systems audits are completed on time by Team Leaders and Managers, and those audit recommendations are implemented.• Ensuring business processes and initiatives are communicated to all people in the operation so that all are aware of their responsibilities for themselves and others in their team.• Established and maintain effective lines of communication OSH, relevant Unions and service providers i.e. Injury Insurer, Rehab Providers, etc • Be pro-active, using initiative and being accountable for ideas and initiatives expressed.

• Staff management and leadership.• Sole charge of all major site work including large crane jobs, all rigging work, large manufacturing projects, pipe fitting and welding, structural fitter welding.• Extensive practicle experience with all associated equipment in the light and heavy engineering industry. (Cranes, gantry crane, hoists, winches etc. • Extensive knowledge of all engineering consumables• Accurate fitting skills associated with all fitter welding/turning processes.• Excellent communication and relationship skills at all levels of the engineering industry.
