About Kevin Hackworth
In addition to working for over 26 years in various capacities for the Michigan Dept. of Natural Resouces I have experience working in the private sector in forest management and forest resource operations. I have experience working in several states including Michigan, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, South Carolina, and Georgia. I am currently the owner/operator of a counseling practice specifically designed for assisting our military veterans, law enforcement, and first responders. I have completed several veteran-oriented DOD and VA trainings specifically designed for assisting veterans in crisis, PTSD, stress management/tolerance, sleep disorders, family issues, and many other mental health post deployment concerns related to combat veterans needs. Law enforcement/first responder services include crisis debriefing, stress/depression counseling, PTSD concerns and other mental health concerns. I am currently able to serve veterans utilizing Humana Tri-Care and self pay. I expect to be credentialed by several other health insurance providers in the coming months.My management experience includes division-level and district-level management responsibilities, as well as on-the-ground experience scheduling field personnel, dealing with disciplinary issues, dealing with the local news organizations, working on multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional issues and projects, etc. I am also very familiar with the development of short and long term plans, determining/purchasing equipment, and dealing challenging budgetary constraints.
