For nearly two decades, Metaphase Technologies has been developing products that advance "The Quality of Light" through engineering and manufacture of uniform diffuse high brightness and ultra brightness LED illuminators for machine vision, military, and specialty lighting applications.Supports all design and development of new/modified design products for Metaphase and LLT.Provides oversight to the IT subcontractor for implementation and upgrades to current systems.Directs the associated individual in providing evaluations and customer support for inspection applications, interfaces with production on engineering issues. Identifies and supports production on identifying parts and schedules, supports purchasing for new vendors for machining and parts.Maintains the testing capabilities for inspecting and evaluating of products for customers, reviews and set the standard for accurate and complete documentation on all products. Monitors the subcontractor providing: Documentation support, monitors and utilizes the technician from the production area.Interfaces with purchasing on problem components.

• I have worked with Line Scan cameras since 2003• Some types of line scan cameras that I work with range from: single tap to dual tap, 60MHZ to 320MHZ, B/W and Color (Some brands of cameras that I am familiar with are E2V, Basler, Dalsa, etc.)• I am responsible for system integration into customer processo I work with plant engineering / contractors during installation phase to make sure systems are installed according to the electrical and mechanical drawings.o I work with QA and Plant management for defect definitions and system operationso I work with Line technicians to help them understand proper use of the inspection equipmento I perform group and one on one training sessions for plant personnel • I Work with Sales to do:o System demos (this includes in office, and/or customer site)o Engineering site surveyso System design specificationso layout and location (recommendations)o Trade Show booth (NPE)o Customer Support and trainingo I have performed sample testing and created risk assessments• Work with an array of lighting techniques to find defects of interest (UV, IR, LED, Florescent, Fiber Optic)• Troubleshoot software applications and PC hardware, a lot of this is done by remote access to customer PCs• Work with .xml, .ini, and registry files to configure software for line scan inspection• Provide training for both external and internal customers• I perform regular maintenance work on the inspection equipment. This includes troubleshooting components, verifying system functionality, cleaning of system• I have traveled to multiple countries to support customer installations and / or service their equipment (China, South Korea, Germany, Canada) Many times by direct special request of customer

 Responsible to help maintain a safe and productive work environment Troubleshoot process issues to achieve efficiencies and yields Establish and improved production practices and procedures Train and coach extrusion technicians on procedures and to improve quality Help to design and improve product packaging to meet customer expectations Work with Engineering department to improve the following: process flow, operator efficiencies, equipment safety, product quality, and for new equipment design and purchase Work with Maintenance department to troubleshoot and fix equipment malfunctions Work with other Tredegar site in transferring technology between sites Instrumental in the successful startup of 2 – multi-million dollar film extrusion line in Pottsville, PA. As an Extrusion technician I was part of the startup team for 2 other extremity successful film lines in Pottsville.  I was also instrumental in the successful start up of a multi-million dollar line in Guangzhou, China. Helped to lead a team: for knowledge transfer, to train technicians from China, troubleshoot line start-up, setup ISRA vision inspection system, and to train Process Engineers in the product mix. Travel to vendors (both domestic and in Europe) for new equipment selection and check-out. Travel to Customer sites to evaluate and help resolve issues Work with Development Engineers to develop new products and to troubleshoot process on new product mixes In-charge of improving the reliability and standardization of ISRA web inspection systems across the Surface Protection division.
