As Product Engineer for V6 motors for Dyson, I was tasked with sustaining and improving on the overall performance and yield of the product.Major responsibilities include:1) Weekly tracking & reporting of product performance & yield.2) Initiate & handle projects to improve device yield & performance.3) Failure Analysis on product level failures to understand root cause.4) Liaise with RDD teams to improve on product level design.5) Reduce scrap percentage through process improvements.6) Perform GR&R on EOL testers to buyoff performance.7) Buyoff performance of new components or products by performing data analysis of major performance parameters (CPK, T-tests, etc).8) Update of Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.Achievements:1) EOL tester 1st pass yield improved from 80% to stable 96%.2) Worked closely with Process engineers, Quality engineers & Design engineers to improve yield, reduce scraps rates and reduce field return PPM.

Major responsibilities include jig repairs and maintenance of testers to guarantee smooth running of testing for multimedia filters. Tools used include Rohde & Schwarz network analyzers and HP controllers. Daily activities include yield monitoring and constant improvements on testing processes, procedures and mechanisms using 5 Why analysis, fishbone diagrams, etc. Also was the lead project coordinator in charge of setting up a series of new Ismeca handlers/testers and was working closely with Ismeca Switzerland team. Was tasked with supervising the overall layout of the Ismeca series of newly purchased testers and handlers to be transferred from Switzerland to Singapore. I was the pioneer product engineer for the Car Radio & Multimedia (CRM) group in ST Muar. I received 3 weeks Teradyne A565 Basic Programming training in ST Muar & 10 weeks technical training on CRM devices in ST Agrate, Italy (RF, Power, DSP & Audio-processors). Received my promotion to Senior Product Engineer (JG12) in Oct’08, after 2 years service in the Product Engineering department.As the pioneer and team leader of the CRM Product Engineering group in Muar, I am also responsible in coordinating team activities & priorities. I also attend to vendor / subcontractor meetings for CRM products / issues, having also experience in dealing & handling of Burn In activities.Recent projects handled include Characterization activities to qualify Ang Mo Kio, Singapore wafers being transferred from Carrolton (USA).
