Oversee the activities of 2200+ geospatial professionals engaged in execution of Foundation GEOINT production, collection and orchestration activities, primary data and product dissemination to national and international communities, and evaluation and acquisition of emerging commercial data sources. Work with senior leaders across the breadth of DoD and the Intelligence Community to include international partners at all levels of government. Oversee Source activities related to advancing automation and artificial intelligence against Source and Agency hard problem sets. Oversee entire Source portfolio for systems and IT integration and enhancement

Oversee the activities of 1500+ geospatial professionals to produce data, products, and services to support all Service and Combatant Command requirements for foundation content. The Foundation GEOINT Group produces content across all major geospatial domains: Topographic, Maritime, Aeronautical, and Geomatics. Responsible for ensuring critical 28 day cycles for production of data to ensure Aero and Maritime Safety of Navigation. Lead Agency efforts to enable integration of foundation data with analytic intelligence to support Object Based Production and Activity Based Intelligence. Work with senior leaders across the breadth of DoD and the Intelligence Community

Defense Intelligence Senior Leader (DISL). As a senior strategic advisor, lead the development, planning and strategic engagement for the global Map of the World program, providing worldwide authoritative geospatial data, products, and services to DoD and Intelligence Community members. Lead the development of cartographic training and tradecraft development for NGA and broader DoD/IC. Work with National and International partners to develop next generation topographic mapping capabilities. Lead research and development activities for next generation mapping and data service provisioning for geospatial data. Served as NGA’s first Chief Data Officer developing community wide strategies for geospatial data and overseeing data related cloud migration efforts

Responsible for development of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) for the National Geospatial Program (NGP) and The National Map (TNM). The NGP EA provided the Program business transformation roadmap for the years 2011 - 2015. TNM is the pre-eminent domestic source for authoritative geospatial content. Oversee NGP standards activities to include interaction with National and International standards development organizations. Oversee the NGP systems transition blueprint as part of the overall EA. Represent the Geography Discipline in Bureau wide data integration activities in support of Bureau science. Oversee the planning and strategic development of The National Map in each major thematic area as the Director of the TNM Development Office

Deputy Director of the National Center for Geospatial Intelligence Standards (NCGIS). NCGIS worked with the DoD/Intelligence Community and International standards development organizations to develop and mandate geospatial standards for the DoD/IC. Managed the entire NCGIS portfolio working as the program manager for all standards related activities. Led efforts to develop and mandate a prescribed suite of geospatial standards that provide the foundations for DoD/IC community interoperability

Responsible for program management oversight of CTM working with the CTM Director. Directed the development of CTM enterprise architecture activities. Led CTM activities dealing with the private sector on issues related to mapping contracts work

Led requirements development activities for the NGA's predecessor organization, the National Imagery and Mapping Agency, next generation geospatial capabilities development contract. Work entailed interaction across the breadth of the DoD and IC communities to include significant experience working with international cooperators. Led activities to evaluate contractor proposals related to ultimate contract award. This activity represented a multi-million dollar investment in advanced geospatial capabilities to support NIMA's mission into the future. Supported the creation and initial stand up of the NCGIS as NIMA's official standards development activity

Led development of standards for the Digital Line Graph - Enhanced product line. Supported the activities of the Civil Applications Committee (CAC). The CAC is the primary civil coordination body charged with overseeing and facilitating Federal civil community access to and use of remote sensing capabilities. Program Manager and COTR for the multi-million dollar Hazard Support System (HSS) program. HSS was a cutting edge dual use capability designed for early detection of wildland fires, pre-eruptive volcanic activity, and the detection and tracking of volcanic ash clouds. Deputy Chief/Chief of the USGS Advanced Systems Center (ASC), overseeing all programmatic activities related to civil use of remote sensing assets

Production cartographer/terrain analyst responsible for development and production of a range of cartographic and terrain analysis products using manual and digital techniques. Led government test teams in evaluating the development of the Digital Cartographic Production System (DPS). The DPS development represented the fundamental technology shift into the realm of digital cartography for the Department of Defense. Led activities to develop automated change detection and feature extraction technologies in support of cartographic production. Led efforts to develop the DMA Data Extraction Knowledge Base System which pioneered efforts in machine vision and neural network technology
