My previous role at Intuit Inc. as a Software Developer introduced me to the expectations of a large-sized company and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); I developed in core JavaScript on the front end with the back end using Java and MySQL as a database management scheme.I obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer and Cybersecurity Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in December 2021, studying computing fundamentals from Operating Systems and Object Oriented Programming to Smart and Embedded System Design and Computer Network Security. IIT also offered many eye-opening inter-professional project courses to provide students with a view of working with business professionals to achieve certain goals; the projects I worked on in collaboration with other students included an IBM Watson Telescope Application, to transmit images captured from telescopes to Watson for further image processing, and the NECA Green Energy Challenge, to conduct an analysis on a local hospital to recommend cost-cutting and energy-efficient alternatives to lighting, HVAC, and various appliances.
