I'm so grateful for the opportunity to learn great principles in Fortune 500 companies. I worked at Freeport for 12 years, moving from Solutions Architect (understanding and implementing business solutions), to IT Services Lead (monitoring and finding better ways for IT to help the company) , to finally leading the Project Management Office, which was responsible for all IT changes throughout the 60k employee company.As a PMO Manager, I oversaw 100+ project managers, focused on understanding the organizational vision and then implementing the projects to turn that vision into reality. • Maintained IT Portfolio, 500+ projects, 1000+ Resources, including road maps, resource availability, and monitoring/driving progress• Created direct reporting and process alignment between project management and leadership roadmaps to improve visibility and performance on strategic initiatives• Rolled out Agile and Design Thinking to IT, involved in Agile roll out to Operations, created additional PMO offices with customized processes to 4 other internal departments• Upgraded Project Server 2010 to 2013, and then from 2013 to online, including migration of 1,800 projects• Automated and redesigned PMO processes to reduce needed administrative support 70% (100 hrs./week to 30), and reducing external technical support costs by 80% while maintaining or improving support levels• Developed and delivered internal PMP preparation course both in person and online providing training to 300+ global project managers in IT, Engineering, Sales, and Global Supply Chain
