Sr. Systems/Cloud Engineer

Contract with IBM - BNSF Topeka datacenter. • Build out of Windows based servers for server replacements at BNSF datacenter and server support of several other accounts. • Built current version Windows based servers and complete for various uses, such as SQL, Exchange, file, application or web servers. Server replacements included rack assembly, racking equipment, configuration and connectivity. • Built VMware ESX host servers, SAN and LAN connectivity and configuration. • Also responsible for hardware service support for all servers under his responsibility at the BNSF datacenter.• Assist Windows System Administrators in system administration for servers located in Dallas/Ft. Worth coop datacenter.

Remel Account. • Managed IP scope and domain name conversion project for Remel’s entire international network due to merger with another company. • Duties included changing Active Directory structure, DHCP scopes, DNS and WINS to reflect changes made to IP scopes and domain name conversion, changing IP addresses in many various devices, including Cisco switches and routers, servers, workstations, printers and other peripheral equipment. • Prior to beginning conversion project Kevin setup and configured new Domain Controller servers for the new Domain. Most of the servers were Windows 2000, two were Windows 2003, one was a NT4.0, two were UNIX and two Linux. • Was responsible for all of the Windows servers. • Contract was extended to assist with desktop support, a MPLS circuit conversion and two LAN room racks re-cabling and organization.
