My primary position requires editing video footage shot by Photogs to create compelling, story-telling pieces for the news broadcasts. I edit with Edius Editing Systems. For the web, I keep an eye on what is happening locally as well as internationally through social media, press releases, competitor sites, and emails. I write the story in Clickability which is a web-based interface. After putting the final edits on the story, I find collateral media to make the piece more visual prior to making the story 'live' on the www.incnow.tv home page.As a back-up producer, I have written multiple scripts for prompter, found stories locally or internationally that are engaging and completely newsworthy, updated the news ticker for news that could not fit into the allotted news broadcast, and sent photogs to cover events happening through press releases. Listening to police scanners is also an important part of the job.
