➡️ I've dedicated my career to safeguarding people and the environments across diverse industries. My journey in Environmental, Health, and Safety began unexpectedly during my service in the Marine Corps, where I honed critical skills in risk assessment, hazard mitigation, and emergency response. These experiences laid the foundation for my passion in EHS and continue to influence my approach to workplace safety today.Growing up in the Southeast US, I was deeply involved in sports, which instilled in me the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. These qualities, combined with the rigorous training and real-world experiences from my time in the Marines, have shaped my professional ethos. I've learned to remain calm under pressure, pay meticulous attention to detail, and lead effectively in high-stakes situations – all crucial attributes in the EHS field.I've had the privilege of working with exceptional mentors who have guided my professional growth. My Staff Sergeant in the Marines and a former Director in the private sector both played pivotal roles in shaping my problem-solving abilities, leadership style, and career trajectory. Their insights and experiences have been invaluable in navigating the complex landscape of EHS management.I believe in creating comprehensive programs that not only ensure compliance with OSHA standards and health regulations but also foster a culture of safety that permeates every level of an organization. By developing robust policies and operational guidance, I've successfully minimized risks, protected employee well-being, and maintained operational continuity even in challenging circumstances. In my role, I focus on translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, actionable strategies. I've found that by engaging stakeholders at all levels and fostering open communication, we can create EHS programs that are not just compliant, but truly effective and embraced by the entire organization.Outside of work, I maintain an active lifestyle that reflects my commitment to health and well-being. As a former college football player, I continue to enjoy competitive athletic events and regular exercise. Hiking allows me to connect with nature and recharge, while family time keeps me grounded and reminds me of the importance of work-life balance. My goal is to leverage my unique background – blending military discipline, sports team dynamics, and extensive EHS expertise – to drive meaningful improvements in workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
