Work primarily on patent litigation and have represented clients such as Rambus, Inc., Versata / Trilogy Software, ParkerVision, SunTrust, KeyBank, Halliburton, and i2 in various patent lawsuits and commercial lawsuits. Litigation Experience:Part of the trial team for eight jury trials in large, multimillion dollar patent suits. Responsibilities ranged from examining witnesses at trial to managing associate teams responsible for general trial preparation. Experienced in litigation at all stages, from filing through appeal. Exemplary Experience:- Working for a Defendant in a case where Plaintiffs claimed roughly $50 million in damages. Personally deposed Plaintiffs' expert witness on damages and wrote a Daubert motion that resulted in the exclusion of this opinion. Wrote a summary judgment motion that led to the dismissal of the majority of claims against the client, and wrote a motion resulting in the further exclusion of an alternate damages theory in the hundreds of millions. Case settled prior to trial.- Was in charge of the "back end" of the trial in a case in which we obtained a $346 million verdict - putting together and managing the exhibit list and deposition designations, negotiating over objections with opposing counsel and arguing them to the Court, as well as negotiating disputes over demonstratives and other trial issues. Assisted attorneys in preparing direct and cross-examination during trial. - Part of trial team that obtained a $173 million verdict in a case involving cell phone downconversion technology. Managed trial exhibit lists and objections, and led cross-examination preparation for key witnesses.
