Leading the communications, marketing and public affairs team for the professional body of Scottish solicitors.

- Elected city councillor (Liberal Democrat) for the communities of Barnton, Cramond, Davidson's Mains, Gogar, Kirkliston, Muirhouse, Queensferry, Newbridge, Ratho Station and Silverknowes)- Member of the Economy and Housing Committee- Member of the Governance & Risk Committee- Member of the Personnel Appeals Panel- Council representative on the Edinburgh Airport Consultative Committee

Responsible for internal and external communications for the operator of Scotland’s three largest airports:• Member of the BAA Scotland management team, setting overall strategic direction for the company• Development and delivery of strategic corporate communications including media relations, political and government affairs, internal communications, community relations, passenger communications and airlines marketing support• Leading the Scottish communications team, a group of seven communications managers covering the three Scottish airports – Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow• Member of the BAA corporate communications team

Responsible for external airport communications:• Member of airport senior management team focusing on overall strategic company direction and crisis management• Specific responsibility for the management of key external stakeholder communications, including political, media and community relations• Development of airport corporate and social responsibility programmes including community fund, environmental initiatives, noise and blight schemes and vortex compensation• Airline account manager for major US based carrier

Responsible for the organisation of constituency and parliamentary offices of Member of Parliament: • Parliamentary research• Management and delivery of political campaign strategy• Liaising with local and national media• Speech writing• Direct report for Constituency Casework Manager and Political Organiser.
