Kevin Lim is a founder and Joint Managing Director of Dunbar & Lim Chambers. He acts as both advocate and arbitrator, focusing on joint venture, energy, technology, infrastructure, and investor-state disputes. A graduate of the National University of Singapore, he is dual-qualified in Singapore and England & Wales. In more than 13 years of practice, he has been involved in over 50 international arbitrations, including some of Asia’s most complex and high-value disputes.Before co-founding Dunbar & Lim Chambers, Kevin was a senior member of a leading international law firm, where he practised for more than eight years. He also previously served as State Counsel to the Singapore Government on international law matters, including investor-state disputes, and has represented Singapore in investment treaty negotiations. In addition to his work as counsel, Kevin regularly sits as arbitrator. He has been appointed as arbitrator in international arbitrations conducted under the SIAC and ICC Rules and has rendered multiple awards over the last nine years. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and is listed as an arbitrator with the SIAC, HKIAC, KCAB, AIAC, and THAC.Kevin has been recognised in the legal directories as a “top-notch” partner and "formidable cross-examiner" with "a stellar reputation as arbitration counsel and arbitrator".
