I worked as part of a team renovating and building homes. While I took the job to pay for university, it was a great experience that taught me the value of teamwork, leadership, and hard work. I also had the chance to apply and build upon my troubleshooting and problem solving skills, as well as demonstrate my ability to quickly learn new tasks and pay constant attention to detail.

Working under Dr. John Stockie, I researched literature related to the modeling of sap flow in trees then developed a mathematical model to describe the phenomenon. Using MATLAB I was able to run simulations based on this model and arrive at some interesting conclusions.
