Improved operating margins.• Incubated new offering – Layne Water Midstream in West Texas leveraging Layne’s expertise and resources to create a new water delivery paradigm. • Drove safety leadership and responsibility at all levels in WRD. Improved TRIR by 32%. • Implemented tracking technology across WRD to provide “line of sight” on utilization of human and yellow-iron assets. Standardized/streamlined information flow from field to project/service teams to enable real-time decision making.• Served as Independent Director for Boytec Group, S.A., a leading drilling services and mining products provider in Latin America. Layne was a minority shareholder in this affiliated company.

Successfully navigated downturn in the highly cyclical mining services industry by streamlining global business and reducing costs to achieve better-than-market utilization and operating margins. Maintained positive EBITDA while P&L downsized from $275 MM to $60 MM.
