Mr. Kevin Martin is the President and acting Team Leader of Roan Geomatics Inc. His responsibilities include personnel management, resource scheduling, cost controls, cad supervision, crew supervision and all tasks required to smoothly execute site survey. Mr. Martin is always an indispensable resource on each project with which he is involved and is determined to ensure that project survey requirements are exceeded.

As Team Leader for the Western Canadian Survey Division, Mr. Martin was responsible for managing the activities of all survey projects, including: hiring of personnel; data management standards; survey practice standards; and quality control standards. With Dessau|LVM Engineering, Mr. Martin has worked for large clients (such as Chinook Infrastructures on the SEST P3 project, SNC-Lavalin – Graham Infrastructure JV on the North Link Partnership Edmonton North LRT project) Mr. Martin is exceptionally proficient in: programming and building digital files for survey layout; performing in-house document control for field teams to keep abreast of the dynamic Design-Build model; interacting with client and design engineers to problem-solve design issues; executing extensive survey lay-out/calculations for bridge structures; participating in regular construction superintendent meetings to discuss/plan upcoming project work; and organizing, processing and submitting requested data to meet client requirements for as-built information.

Mr. Martin was tasked with the responsibility of working with ATCO Gas to locate legal boundary evidence and utilities, and to perform design layout for construction of new gas lines. Mr. Martin was responsible for the layout of ATCO Gas pipeline boundaries and right-of-ways. Mr. Martin was also tasked with scouting locations for power line structures for AltaLink.

Mr. Martin, as a senior surveyor and crew coordinator for Highway Technical Engineering LP, had a key role in the North East Stoney Trail P3 project in Calgary, Alberta, and was responsible for the layout of and coordination of the road base construction, asphalt paving, as well as structures and utilities. Mr. Martin was tasked with ensuring the survey crews were organized and equipped with up to date information, as well as trouble shooting and processing field surveyed data. Mr. Martin worked directly with the paving contractor, Carmacks Enterprises Ltd., to organize, program, and direct survey layout. Mr. Martin’s position during the North East Stoney Trail project, combined with the West LRT DB project in Calgary, Alberta, have provided invaluable experience for coordination and management roles.

As a surveyor for Precision Geomatics Inc., Mr. Martin completed as-built surveys of gas plants and pipelines; performed legal surveys for the establishment of well sites and pipelines; located underground utilities; and surveyed overhead utilities (such as powerlines).
