Mr. McCormick has had a high profile career as a director, producer, artistic director and arts educator. He has directed /produced numerous stage productions including large scale musicals, special events and dramatic plays. His artistic works have appeared on the stage of theaters such as: The Elgin Winter Garden Theatre, The St Lawrence Centre for the Arts, Harbourfront Centre, The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, The Ryerson University Theatre and Young Peoples Theatre.Mr. McCormick is a highly regarded teacher and coach for actors in Toronto where he has taught thousands of actors, many of whom have gone on to achieve highly successful careers. Jamie Portman of the Southam Press referred to Mr. McCormick's creative work as an Artistic Director in developing summer theatre in the Georgian Triangle area of Ontario as "A creative and economic miracle – a lesson to be learned for other parts of Canada."Mr. McCormick has worked at universities, colleges and schools, including, York University, The National Ballet of Canada, Ryerson University, University of Toronto, The Canadian College of Dance, Young People's Theatre School, University of New Brunswick, McMaster University and Seneca College.He was the Executive and Artistic Director for Equity Showcase Theatre for 11 years.In 2019 Mr. McCormick celebrated his tenth year at the University of Toronto where he has been teaching and developing creative and empowerment workshops for different divisions of the university, including the Computer Science Department, the Rotman School of Business, and the School of Graduate Studies.In 2015 he co-founded "Songs of the City" for United Way Greater Toronto. Songs of the City is a unique donor thank you event featuring United Way speakers and well-known singers and songwriters. The project is now in its fifth year in Toronto and has been launched Nationally.
