Establishing a new operational base in Glasgow.

Site Manager (representing Nuvia Ltd) for the Ignalina Nuclear Power Station fuel recovery equipment installation and commissioning. This facility ensures the storage ponds are defueled and the inventory stored safely. The site will then enter a clean-up and decommissioning phase.I was employed to ensure a range of contractual obligations were met and certain installation quality risks were managed. The skill-set required was mostly that of high quality Project installation management. However, the challenge of the role lied in the lack of precedent in Lithuania as well as the contractor skill capability, location, complexity and the degree of EBRD scrutiny applied to the Ignalina site projects.

Magnox limited manages the Bradwell Site on behalf of the Office of Nuclear Regulation (ONR), the company mission; to take a once operational nuclear power station through the decommissioning process and into a safe, passive state.My sole responsibility was to lead a multi-disciplined project team of client and contractor personnel to deliver a high profile decommissioning and demolition projects for the active waste and ponds facility. This would lead into a period of ongoing care and maintenance.

The B13 improvement Projects for NNL. The main challenge was the recovery of a nuclear crane refurbishment project which had been severly threatened by the bankruptcy of the manufacturing contractor.

Several high profile projects, including:SAV (Separation Area Ventilation) Project - New nuclear ventilation facility for the Sellafield site. The major challenge here was the extensive stakeholder management that was required to design then knit the new system into the site wide infrastructure. Replacing the outdated system with the new, while ensuring that critical operational plants continued to operate with very minimal downtime.High Level Waste Plant (High Active) improvement Projects.
