This was achieved through bringing together and collaborating with a range of stakeholders including sustainability focused Not-For-Profits (NFPs) , local government, the Illawarra business community and the broader community in our region.The primary focus of this role was to bring sustainability focused NFPs in our region together with the local business community to create lasting connections as we work towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in our region.We brought together a core group of 9 from JCI Illawarra's 40 members in pursuit of the following UN SGDs: Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities; Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production; Goal 14 - Life Below Water; Goal 15 - Life on Land; Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.We were able to achieve the following; • 15 local businesses engaged and more keen to get involved with such projects again• $4,200 directly raised for the NFPs in cash donations• In-kind and ongoing support largely unquantified, surpassing well over $1,000 in value• 9 NFPs engaged and participated on the day• 17 JCI members participated on the day• 211 registered participants• >250 total participants including friends and family members• 246kgs of trash collected• 24,000 social media reach for the event page including 566 responses • 3 local newspaper articles, 1 local TV interview, 1 local radio interview and 1 international article (Let’s Do It World Newsletter)The positive feedback has been overwhelming with participants commenting on the likelihood they will engage in further community projects, businesses pledging ongoing support to sustainability in the region and a number of others keen to engage in future projects with JCI. As Vice President of JCI Illawarra my focus was on assisting our President in both the achievement of our Strategic Plan for 2016 and more broadly in the achievement of the JCI Mission, 'to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change'.As Director of Partnerships also in this year my key driver was to ensure JCI Illawarra members were successfully engaging in professional development opportunities through our new and existing partnerships.

Experience in a range of programs provided by UOW to students including enrolment assistance, guided tours and orientation group services for domestic and international students. These roles involved leading network building exercises focused on starting a peer network for students beginning university and relaying a student perspective on the experiences they will be facing in their early years at university.
