About Kevin Mcintyre

A 40 year veteran of college admission I have worked in a variety of settings. My primary focus has been small, liberal arts colleges, several of which were faith-based, I also have experience working with a 2 year private school and a nationally accredited school of business. Currently I am serving as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Buena Vista University. In the past 4 years we have made significant progress in the creation of a comprehensive communication plan, strengthened campus visit programs and created an Exploratory program for students entering the University who are undecided about a major, along with growing the incoming enrollment in each of the past 3 years while increasing overall revenue for the University. Recently I assumed the responsibility for University Marketing and Communications added to traditional and international admissions and financial aid. During my career the institutions I have worked for have experienced marked growth including an evening program that grew by 20% in one year to a single sex university that transitioned to co-education and grew from 375 to over 1,000 in 5 years. I also have considerable experience in building successful retention programs. While working at my last 2 institutions, I was integral in developing retention strategies that resulted in double digit improvement in fall to fall retention rates of first year students.
