About Kevin Miller

Thanks for checking out my profile! I'm currently working as a VR developer and consultant at IUPUI. I've been blessed with a wide range of skills. Starting in the technical area, I'm an experienced programmer in C#, C++, and Java, and I pick up new languages easily. I have strong skills in Autodesk Maya. I've used every version of Maya since 1.5. While my technical skills are strong, I am an artist at heart, and I am learning to let that out and be proud of it.I can do environmental modeling, character rigging and animation, and development. I've created several small video games, both on my own and as a member of a team, including augmented and virtual reality. I graduated in May of 2016 with a B.S. in Media Arts and Sciences, and again in May of 2018 with an M.S. in the same. I am currently working on experimental applications of VR in psychological assessments and treatments with a team at IUPUI.

    I am the lead developer in the VPT project. In a previous project, we studied the use of virtual reality to help diagnose aggression disorders in school-age children. The project was successful, and now, thanks to a grant from the National Institute of Health, we are tasked with taking the study to the next level, and begin treating such disorders using what we are calling viewpoint therapy.
