Work at the micro kitchen “noodle” for the HFS department. I batch cook for lunch service. I monitor the food that is served and make more batches accordingly, and look over student employees that are in charge of serving the customers. My job includes, prep work for recipes, sautéing, steaming, cooking. Also proper cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen, emptying and replacing oil in fryers, cleaning flat tops grills, etc.

My work consists of food prep and getting the kitchen stocked with all the tools and equipment we will need for the weekend, I do this the day before we open the restaurant. The 3 days we have the restaurant open, I open the kitchen by setting up the vegetable spread, cooking meat and getting hot foods in hot cases an hour before opening. I rekey most types of commercial, high security and residential locks. I have created and maintained master key systems for a variety of businesses. Translating for Spanish speaking customers was a big part of my job, I provided excellent customer service when customers had questions about products from my department (Garden and Lawn care). I was also trained as a backup cashier for those days we could not keep up with the amount of customers. Spent time stocking shelves in my department and wrapping pallets of overstock.
