Support the CRH Ontario aggregates, ready mix concrete and construction business units in areas including government and First Nation relations, biodiversity, reserve replacement, planning approvals and environment. Project management and strategy development for new pits and quarries, permits to take water, environmental compliance and planning approvals. Problem solving for environmental technical challenges. Design and guidance on habitat creation for ecological enhancement.

Responsible for environmental compliance at aggregate and asphalt plants. Obtain municipal and environmental approvals for aggregate operations and asphalt plants in Ontario and New York State. Negotiate land purchases. Obtain approvals for new licences and site plan amendments under the Aggregate Resources Act. Liaison with neighbours and agencies, supervision of progressive rehabilitation efforts, prepare and manage budgets and strategic documents, supervise land management staff. Prepare and file annual reports for approval agencies. Identify and secure potential aggregate resource properties. Problem solving and facilitation of corporate projects in Ontario and Atlanta, Georgia.

Inspection of soil conditions at various construction projects, supervision of drilling and rock coring, supervision of installation of deep foundations, concrete sampling and in situ testing, compaction testing, vibration monitoring, supervision of quality assurance program for installation of geotextiles and geomembranes, laboratory testing of soils/concrete/asphalt and specialty testing of concrete.Conducted phase 1 and phase environmental site assessments.
